How DuoHand is built
A design studio, staffed: a director, designers, a modeller and a reviewer, each trained on your work, with hands on your own machine. This page is the whole of it, in the order the work happens.
How deep it goes
Follow one collection, end to end
I need a brief
Say who the collection is for and what it has to do. DuoHand asks the questions a designer would ask — occasion, price band, metal, stone budget, who the buyer is — and writes a brief the workshop can build from.
I need directions to choose from
It draws several, each with a point of view, and says what each one is betting on. You kill the ones that miss; it remembers why.
I need it checked
Mark up any sketch. When a change would thin a wall or crowd a setting, it says so and shows you the number before it draws.
I need it in another carat
A ring you have built, extended to 1, 1.25 and 1.5 carats, three real pieces side by side — each re-proportioned, each to a real finger size. It runs in Rhino on your own machine through DuoBench, after one approval card.
I need a design sheet
Metal, stones, settings, tolerances and finishes, read off the model. Every figure on it comes from geometry rather than memory.
I need a deck by Friday
The book you put in front of a buyer, laid out from the same pieces, with renders made from the same files.
How it is built
A studio, staffed
An organisation, on a tree
Every collection starts with a brand card placed on the tree and a series kicked off under it. The seats are fixed: Design Director, Product Designer, CAD Designer, Graphic Designer and Judgement, the reviewer. Who sits in each seat, and what they have been taught, is yours.
Six axes, measured
Each agent is scored on Design eye, Craftsmanship, Jewellery knowledge, 3D modelling, Operations and Market sense. The dashed outline is the strongest general models, what they already know on their own; the space between the two lines is what training added.
Training, as a conversation
An agent is trained by talking to it. A trainer works through your material, saves what it learns as entries you can read, and the scores move as it goes. A run that reaches its step limit waits for you before it carries on.
A brand, in seven layers
A brand pack holds what the studio knows about a house: its Design language, Boundaries, Positioning, Signature work, Material & craft and Components, written with their sources, and its Style, trained from pictures. A pack travels between accounts with everything it has learned.
Judgement, with its reasons
What you approve becomes the line it holds for the rest of the collection; what you decline is kept with the reason, so the same miss does not come back. Pieces you have already made are read as evidence of how you work. When a request would break that line, it says so before it draws.
Your own computer
Meets you where you already work
Works in your files
Opens what is already on your machine and saves the work back beside it.
Drives the software you own
Illustrator and Rhino today, step by step, in the file you will hand over. The list grows as the hands do.
Checks its own work
It looks at what it made, compares it to what you asked for, and fixes the gap.
Asks before every move
Once, for this task, or always — you decide every time it wants to write, run or look.
Every model worth using
It runs on all of them, and picks
DuoHand chooses per step — the sharpest model to argue about a direction, a fast one to answer a roll call, the right one to render.
When a better model ships it appears on the shelf. Your work stays where it is.
