Changing your mind, and stopping
Words typed while it works steer it; an empty box and the same button stop it.
While a reply is under way, typing steers it and an empty box stops it
There is no separate stop control. While DuoHand is working, the send button watches the text box: with words in it, the button sends, and those words go straight into the run as guidance; with nothing in it, the button becomes a stop square and pressing it ends the run where it stands.

To change course, just say so
Type what you want different and press Send while it is still working. The words reach the run live. What it has not read yet by the time it finishes is sent as your next message, so nothing you typed is dropped.

To stop, clear the box and press the square
With the box empty the send button is the stop button. Pressing it ends the run at the step it is on and clears any guidance that was still waiting to go in. The reply shows Stopped.

When it is waiting on you, it says so
Some steps need an answer before they can go on: a choice between directions, a permission on your computer. The reply shows Waiting for your answer and the run holds until you give one.
Long jobs
The checklist tells you where it is
A job with several steps carries its own checklist in the reply: Now: … for the step in hand and Next: … for the one after, updated as it goes. Close the tab if you like; the work continues on the server and the checklist is where you left it when you come back.
Questions
Mid-run
I pressed Enter with an empty box and nothing stopped.
When the assistant is working on your computer through Bench, Enter on an empty box does nothing on purpose, so a stray keypress cannot cut a job in Rhino or Illustrator halfway. Press the stop square with the pointer instead.
Does stopping cost anything?
What ran before you stopped is charged as usual and shown on the reply. A run that breaks on its own is not charged; What things cost has the rule.
Can I take back guidance I already sent?
Once it has been read, no; it is part of the run. Guidance that was still waiting to be read is cleared when you stop.
