Docs · Files and export
Exporting
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and Photoshop files from a reply, a judgement, a draft or a whole conversation. Ask, and a card comes back.
You ask for the file in the chat, and the reply carries it
There is no export menu to hunt for. Say what you want and in which format, in the chat: a Word document of the last reply, this judgement as a PDF, the design sheet as a spreadsheet, the whole conversation as a presentation. The assistant makes the file, and the reply shows a card with its name; press it to Download. The file is also filed in your library, so it is there later without asking again.
Five formats
Word document (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), PDF, and Photoshop (.psd). The PSD carries the design picture as one layer and the title, materials and details as editable text layers, so a studio can set type over it in Photoshop.
Four things it can export
A design, with its picture, materials and details. A judgement, the assistant's written assessment of a piece, with the picture it judged. The last reply. Or the whole conversation. Say which; if you do not, it picks the one the request most plainly means.
Drafts
When the assistant writes something meant to be sent or filed, an email, a document, a table, a brief or a presentation plan, it keeps it as a draft with its own card, which you can have it revise before it is exported. A draft exports in any of the five formats.
Fonts and figures
Exports carry the studio's typeface inside the file, so it looks the same on a machine that does not have the font installed.
Questions
Exports
Where did the export go?
On the reply, as a card, and in Files in the sidebar under the chat it came from. Files and the bin is the library's page.
Can someone I shared the chat with export from it?
No. A shared chat is read-only for the people who open it by link; exporting happens in your own chat.
The export failed.
The reply says so in place of the card. Ask again; a failure on our side is not charged. If it fails twice, write to [email protected] with the chat's name.
