Memory
What the assistant remembers between chats, where to read it, and how to pause it or wipe it.
Settings, Capabilities: the Memory switch, and Manage memories behind it
Save and use memories is the switch. On, the assistant keeps useful facts from your chats and uses them in later replies: who a collection is for, the metal you always work in, a rule you gave it once. Off, it neither saves nor uses them. Manage memories opens the list itself.
Saved memories
Every memory, in words you can read, with Search memories to find one and a delete on each. Auto-manage lets the assistant keep the list tidy itself; Delete all memories empties it.
Project memories
A project keeps memories of its own, separate from the general ones, under Saved project memories. Export memories and Import memories move a set as a file, so a project's memory can travel with it.
Pause and reset
Pause memory keeps what is saved but stops the assistant using it or adding to it, until you switch it back on. Reset memory deletes every memory for good, and it cannot be undone.
In a collection
A room has its own memory switch in Room settings, and a separate one for sharing the collection's settled facts with everyone at the table. Room settings has both.
Beside it
Search and reference chats
A second switch under Capabilities, Search and reference chats, lets the assistant look through your past chats for something relevant when it answers, the way a colleague might check an old thread. Memory is what it chose to keep; this is what it can go back and read.
Questions
Memory
It remembered something wrong.
Open Manage memories, find it, delete it, and say the right thing in a chat; it saves the correction. Or tell it in the chat to forget that, which does the same.
Is memory used to train DuoHand?
No. Memory is yours and stays with your account. What may be used to improve DuoHand is a different switch, under Data; Your data explains it.
