Settings, General: the first row, and the one you will visit least
Open Settings under your name in the sidebar; General is the row it opens on. It holds the few things about the app itself rather than about your work: the address you signed in with, the language of the interface, what the counter shows while a reply is being thought about, and dark mode.
Email
The address you signed in with, shown for reference. It is the account, which is why it is not edited here; Signing in says how a change is made.
Language
The language of the interface: English, Simplified or Traditional Chinese, French, Italian or Japanese. It changes the app's own words; what the assistant writes follows the language you write in.
While thinking, show
While a reply is being worked out, the app shows a counter. Seconds shows how long it has been thinking; Tokens shows how much it has read and written so far, which tracks the cost more closely.
Dark mode
The app in dark. Pictures, renders and the 3D viewer keep a neutral ground either way, so metal and stone read the same in both.
Questions
General
I changed the language and my chats are still in English.
Language changes the interface, not the conversation. Write to the assistant in the language you want and it answers in kind.
Where is my display name?
Under Account, with the rest of who you are; Account is its page.
